The world of company and organization management is becoming increasingly reliant on the optimal and structured use of information technology and the management of information. Business administrators need to understand and use technology that gathers and provides information within a local, national and global environment, and industry requires managers who are able to distil and recognize patterns in that information and who can apply those analyses to achieve business objectives.

In the modern company, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) has now generally become the second most important manager, because of the huge fundamental impact that Information Technology has made on business practices, processes and working environments.

Our International Business Administration Bachelor Degrees programmes share a broad 1st year and students specialize in the chosen programme from year 2.

The programme looks at the management of information, the impact of databases and information retrieval on companies and businesses, and also offers modules such as “Open Source Software Concepts”, “Web Design and Benchmarking”, “CRM” Customer Relationship Management systems), & “CMS” (Content Management Systems).

Bachelor’s students are offered 12 industry-related applied research project weeks, dealing with real-life cases. These challenges students through real life-, real time projects, that are organized by the University in cooperation with various companies and organizations, both locally, nationally and sometimes internationally. Students are divided into project groups and are given an assignment that has to be completed in a short period of time, usually one or two weeks.

Bachelor students at Wittenborg have the option of doing an internship during their final year. The duration of the internship can range from 3 to 6 months, depending on the type of internship and the expectations of the student and potential employer.

The IBA Information Management will take either three or four years to complete, depending on your academic progress and drive.

Direct Entry to Final Year

Students with successful study experience equivalent to 160 European Credits in a related business or economic field are able to enter directly into the Final year programme (80 credits). The examination and graduation board will decide on entry based on credit transcripts and qualifications presented.

All courses and examinations will be in English, so you need a good command of spoken and written English.

As an international applicant, you will also be required to demonstrate sufficient results of one of these tests:

Cambridge Lower (FCE) Grade B (173-175)

Cambridge Lower (FCE) Grade C (169-172)

IELTS test minimum overall band score of 6.0

TOEFL test (minimum score of 80 internet-based, and minimum subscore of 290 for speaking & Writing)

Greek high school diploma (Apolytirio Genikou Lykeio), with a general grade of at least 10, preferably with economics/mathematics.

As a EU student, you encouraged to find their own accommodation, you can however opt for Wittenborg’s own accommodation, if available.

Wittenborg offers accommodation in a number of different places, all close to the university: A. Shared apartments: 3-5 students share an apartment or house. B. Campus accommodation: students have their own room within a campus complex, and share kitchen and bathroom facilities.

Currently, students may stay a maximum of one calendar year at any of the accommodation(s) provided by Wittenborg, to assure rooms are made available for newly arriving students. Wittenborg is working hard to increase its own campus accommodation!
