The Saxion Master of  Business Administration  (MBA)) programme  gives you valuable knowledge about all aspects of business. You will learn about strategies and concepts, not just on paper but through simulations and during a specific consultancy module too, enabling you to put these skills to practical use in day-to-day business situations.

The MBA is an internationally recognized Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management. It prepares managers for organisation-wide leadership and decision-making. Saxion University offers this MBA programme in co-operation with the University of Greenwich: successful students obtain an internationally recognized British degree.

The course consists of 10 modules, which will be offered in a period of ca 9 months. After having obtained 150 UK credits, the students can (further) concentrate on their independent business research project (30 credits). It is possible to complete the course in 12 months, although it sometimes takes 1,5 year to finish. The total number of credits of the entire programme is 180 UK credits. This master is an overall joined programme with the MA.

You will gain specialist skills according to the pathway of:

Marketing Specialization, such as developing an international competitive strategy, designing and developing integrated marketing communication plans and implement long-term marketing initiatives.

International Management (Broad MBA), such as implementing knowledge management within their organizations and handling the international operations of their companies.

Furthermore, you will improve your current management practices and identify key areas for improvement, will focus on his/her personal management style and be able to amend it appropriately for particular management situations.

Finally you will acquire new business theories and understand their relevance to specific business situations.

All courses and examinations will be in English, so you need a good command of spoken and written English.

As an international applicant, you will also be required to demonstrate sufficient results of one of these tests:

CAE (Cambridge Advanced Certificate), or CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English)

IELTS test (minimum overall band score of 6.0, and minimum subscore of 6.0 for speaking)

TOEFL test (minimum score of 80 internet-based, and minimum subscore of 20 for speaking)

In order to be admitted to the course you must also have a Bachelor’s degree in a related business field and an equivalent of 24 months fulltime and relevant working experience.

Applying for the September courses of the academic year 2018-2019 will be possible until the application deadline of July 1, 2018.

We encourage European students to find their own accommodation.

However, in case you would like to have everything arranged in time and want to immerse yourself in international student life, we offer the possibility to reserve a room in one of our international student houses. In all three cities we have contracts with the local student housing associations. They provide Saxion with accommodation with rooms, which may vary in size. The rooms are all single rooms and furnished with basic facilities like bed, desk, chair and cupboard. All accommodations have an internet connection. The bathroom, toilet and kitchen need to be shared with other international Saxion students, max. 6 students share common facilities.

You can apply for a room as soon as you have been admitted or conditionally admitted. The deadline for applying for Saxion accommodation is 1 May 2018. After this date, it is no longer possible to reserve a room and you will be put on a waiting list.

Master programmes: 15 August 2018 – 15 August 2019, total rental fee: € 5,150 (12 months). You are allowed to pay your rental fee in installments.

This MBA programme provides students with an academically rigorous programme firmly rooted in practice and graduates have been prepared for senior positions in all areas of management, in international marketing, international business, or as independent entrepreneurs.
