Do you want a career in international business and would you like to learn how to conduct business around the globe? Our English bachelor degree International Business prepares you for a managerial position in companies anywhere in the world, which are operating in an international business environment.

With our international business course, you will be studying with students from all over the world. During you practice at a company you will establish strong connections to the international business world, already creating job opportunities for yourself while still studying.

When you enroll for International Business, you will have the opportunity to make a choice from one of the following specializations after the first semester:

- IB/L: Languages

- IB/T: Technology and Innovation

- IB/E: Entrepreneurship

In the first year, you gain a solid theoretical basis of international business and management. You will acquire knowledge of Marketing & Sales, Financial Accounting, Supply Chain Management and People & Organization.

Furthermore, you will have courses for orientation to your specialization, during the first semester. Our expertise lies in finding the study route that matches your specific talents and ambitions. When you enroll for International Business, you will have the opportunity to make a choice from one of the following specializations after the first semester:

Languages (IB/L)

Technology and innovation (IB/T)

Entrepeneurship (IB/E)

You will start with your specialization in the second semester. In addition, you will also work on developing your professional skills.

In the second year, your knowledge and experience of Marketing & Sales, Financial Accounting, Supply Chain Management and People & Organization will be deepened and you will work on increasingly complex and integrated company cases. Depending on the specialization you have chosen, you will have specific courses and projects related to your specialization.

The last two years will deepen your knowledge and will refine your skills in application in various practical business situations. You will work on developing and fine-tuning your personal brand and choose a business domain where you will acquire the specialist level. You can spend your minor abroad and deploy your theoretical knowledge in an interdisciplinary, practical environment.

The conclusion of your study programme consists of a final assignment.

All courses and examinations will be in English, so you need a good command of spoken and written English.

As an international applicant, you will also be required to demonstrate sufficient results of one of these tests:

IELTS test (minimum overall band score of 6.0, and minimum subscore of 6.0 for speaking)

TOEFL test (minimum score of 80 internet-based, and minimum subscore of 20 for speaking)

CAE (Cambridge Advanced Certificate), or CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English)

Greek high school diploma (Apolityrio Genikou Lykeio), with a general grade of at least 10.  A grade of at least 15 in one or more of the following subjects is advised for successfully following this course: Economics. For theIB/L specialization also advised are: French, or German.

We recommend that you apply by 1 May, to be admitted to the programme of your choice. You will then take part in the study choice test. The outcome of this test is non-binding. If you meet all the entry requirements, you can enroll in the programme of your choice in September.

You can also apply between 2 May and 15 August, 2018 but in that case the outcome of the study choice test will be binding. A negative study choice advice means that you are inadmissible to the programme.

We encourage European students to find their own accommodation.

However, in case you would like to have everything arranged in time and want to immerse yourself in international student life, we offer the possibility to reserve a room in one of our international student houses. In all three cities we have contracts with the local student housing associations. They provide Saxion with accommodation with rooms, which may vary in size. The rooms are all single rooms and furnished with basic facilities like bed, desk, chair and cupboard. All accommodations have an internet connection. The bathroom, toilet and kitchen need to be shared with other international Saxion students, max. 6 students share common facilities.

You can apply for a room as soon as you have been admitted or conditionally admitted. The deadline for applying for Saxion accommodation is 1 May 2018. After this date, it is no longer possible to reserve a room and you will be put on a waiting list.

Bachelor programmes: 15 August 2018 – 1 August 2019, total rental fee: € 5,000 (11.5 months). You are allowed to pay your rental fee in installments.

After your International Business bachelor studies, you can become employed as, for example: an export manager, a relations manager, an account manager, a communications advisor.

A variety of other positions will also be within your reach, mostly in organizations who are acting in a technology-driven context: New business development, online or offline businesses, Product & service development technical company, Innovation/project manager in tech developments, Change manager ICT, or other areas.

Do you want to continue your studies after the International Business programme? After completing IB, you can advance with an academic or professional master degree: for example, a Master of Business Administration. If you want to do this abroad, you can usually start straightaway. If you choose to further your studies at a research university in the Netherlands, a pre-master may be required.
