During the first and second academic year, you will develop a broad base of knowledge in technology, (business) economy, organization and management. Collaborating with the professional practice is the focal point from day one. You and your classmates will work together in project groups on assignments from the business sector relating to process optimization, quality management, and maintenance and asset management.
This will introduce you to your future professional field.
In the second year, you will deepen your knowledge of the company processes and you will work on more complex projects from the professional field, with a focus on the environment and sustainability as well. You could collaborate on a research project about the sustainable use and maintenance of wind farms off the Dutch coast.
In the third year, you will do an internship at a company in the Netherlands, or abroad. For example, you could do an internship at a company where you will analyze the impact on the production process, the price and the quality of packaging material, if the company switches to biodegradable and environmentally friendly plastic. Additionally, you will follow a minor that deepens or broadens your knowledge. Finally, you will conduct a research project in preparation for your final internship.
In your final year, you will conduct a graduation research and you will demonstrate that you are ready for the profession field.
You can make the course as international as you want. You can follow an internship or a minor abroad. The Zeeland University of Applied Sciences has an extensive network of partner schools and companies, which offers you plenty of opportunity to go abroad. An international experience is a big plus for CV and it will increase your chances of getting a job anywhere in the world.
